OpenAI Launches Aardvark: AI-Powered Security Agent for Vulnerability Management

OpenAI has introduced Aardvark, an autonomous AI agent powered by GPT-5, designed to detect and fix software vulnerabilities. Currently in private beta, Aardvark aims to enhance cybersecurity by automating the process of scanning, validating, and remediating vulnerabilities across large codebases. This initiative comes in response to the growing number of vulnerabilities reported annually, with over 40,000 new Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) identified in 2024 alone.
