Arqit Quantum, Es’hailSat, and AIEE successfully demonstrated quantum-safe security for satellite communications on September 1, 2026. The trial integrated Arqit's encryption technology into Es’hailSat’s operational infrastructure without disrupting live services. This demonstration took place at the 25.5/26° East hotspot in Doha, showcasing a practical upgrade path for critical infrastructure communications against quantum threats. The collaboration aims to enhance the resilience of government, enterprise, maritime, and energy sectors, which rely on secure communications. The integration was validated through interoperability testing led by AIEE, ensuring no adverse effects on existing services. As quantum computing advances, protecting long-life communications infrastructure has become increasingly vital.
