Gurpartap 'GP' Sandhoo has been officially named the director of the Space Development Agency (SDA) and the Missile Warning and Tracking Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) for the Space Force. Previously the acting director since September 2025, Sandhoo's new role includes overseeing the SDA's foundational Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA) program. The Space Force has recently shifted its strategy, opting not to pursue future tranches of the PWSA's transport layer, instead integrating these requirements into a broader Space Data Network initiative. Sandhoo's appointment reflects a strategic commitment to enhance missile warning and tracking capabilities.
