Ahead of the NEET UG 2026 re-examination, authorities in India have implemented extensive security measures to prevent a repeat of last year's paper leak incident. Over 2.27 million candidates are expected to participate in the exam scheduled for June 21, 2026. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has arranged for multiple sets of question papers, which were transported securely by Indian Air Force helicopters. These papers are stored under a three-tier security system, monitored by CCTV, signal jammers, and biometric verification. In Madhya Pradesh, 44 cyber commandos have been deployed to monitor online activities, including social media and the deep web, to prevent the circulation of fake papers. Local police and paramilitary forces are also involved in overseeing the examination process. The comprehensive security strategy aims to ensure a smooth and transparent examination process.
