Singapore's government has mandated Apple and Google to take measures against the spoofing of government agency messages on their platforms. The Ministry of Affairs issued Implementation Directives requiring the companies to prevent accounts from displaying names that mimic 'gov.sg' and to filter such messages to protect users from scams. This action follows reports of scams using messaging services like iMessage and Google Messages.
