A 33-year-old South Korean man, Kim Nok-wan, received a life sentence for operating an online blackmail ring that sexually exploited or abused 261 victims, including over a dozen minors. The Seoul Central District Court deemed his crimes severe enough to warrant permanent isolation from society, also sentencing 10 accomplices to prison terms of two to four years.
