South Wilts Grammar School (SWGS) has been awarded the 'Outstanding CyberFirst Gold School' title at the TechFirst Education Ecosystem Conference for its exceptional cyber security education programs. The award was presented by Chris Ensor from the National Cyber Security Centre. This recognition comes 16 months after SWGS first achieved CyberFirst Gold School status, highlighting its strong curriculum and community engagement. SWGS collaborates with organizations like the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL) and the South West Cyber Crime Unit (SWCU) to provide students with hands-on workshops, including drone demonstrations and robotics. Additionally, students have participated in national competitions and lectures, enhancing their practical skills in cyber security. The award ceremony took place in March during the conference's gala dinner, celebrating the school's commitment to fostering cyber security awareness among students.
