Türkiye Launches First Offshore Wind Tender for 5 GW Capacity by 2035

Türkiye is set to initiate its first offshore wind Renewable Energy Resource Area (YEKA) tender, having completed permitting for four sites in Saros Bay, Gökçeada, Bozcaada, and Edremit. Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar announced the goal of achieving 5,000 MW of offshore wind capacity by 2035, with plans for at least 2 GW of YEKA tenders annually, including 1.5 GW for wind projects in 2026.
