Truebit Protocol Exploit Results in $26 Million Theft

Truebit, an Ethereum-based verification protocol, suffered a significant security breach resulting in the theft of $26 million from its reserves. The attacker exploited a bug in the protocol's code, leading to the unauthorized transfer of 8,535 Ether tokens. Following this, an additional theft of nearly $300,000 in TRU tokens occurred shortly after the initial exploit.
