Trump Administration Funds $1B for Three Mile Island Nuclear Plant Restart

The Trump administration announced a $1 billion loan to Constellation Energy to restart the Three Mile Island nuclear reactor, which has been inactive since 2019. Microsoft is expected to benefit from this initiative as it has committed to purchasing all electricity generated by the plant for two decades. The refurbishment project is estimated to cost $1.6 billion and is expected to be completed by 2028.
