The UAE Cyber Security Council and Fortinet have initiated a cybersecurity internship program aimed at Emirati university students. This program will provide participants with structured training, hands-on labs, and mentorship from Fortinet specialists. The first phase will be conducted in partnership with a UAE-based university, focusing on essential cybersecurity skills. Participants will also have the opportunity to earn the Fortinet NSE 4 FortiOS certification. The initiative is part of the Cyberani Practical Training Initiative, launched to align academic learning with industry needs. This collaboration follows a memorandum of understanding signed earlier in the year, which also aims to establish a UAE Center of Excellence for cybersecurity. The program is expected to serve as a model for future educational collaborations across the UAE.
