YouTube has announced the expansion of its AI deepfake detection technology to a pilot group consisting of government officials, political candidates, and journalists. This tool allows members to identify unauthorized AI-generated content and request its removal, building on a technology that was initially made available to around 4 million creators in the YouTube Partner Program last year.
