Danfoss stated, 'Our AK-SM800 and AK-SC355 series temperature control systems were particularly affected. Most of the affected equipment are older models, and software and security updates are no longer provided. We had previously recommended that supermarkets replace their equipment.' Danfoss systems were publicly identified as having an authentication bypass vulnerability ( CVE-2025-41450 ) in May 2025 and a command injection vulnerability ( CVE-2025-41451 ) in August 2025. The research team that discovered these two vulnerabilities also published a method for achieving remote code execution using a product called AK-SM800A. According to sources, French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu has instructed the French National Cyber Security Agency (ANSSI) to investigate the matter, and is coordinating with relevant agencies as the impact could extend to other countries.
