Samsung Electronics Singapore and Reality Defender , a New York-based deepfake detection company, signed a memorandum of understanding at GovWare 2026 in Singapore to develop and deploy a tool for enterprises.
The tool will detect AI-generated voices, videos, and images on Samsung Galaxy devices.
Samsung said the proposed system would analyze content on-device, reducing the need to send sensitive data to the cloud.
Samsung plans to roll it out on the Galaxy S26 series and later models, as well as Galaxy flagship tablets.
The deal comes as Singapore authorities have warned scams involving digitally manipulated content, while the Monetary Authority of Singapore issued a circular on cyber risks tied to deepfakes on September 18, 2025.
A 2024 Regula survey found 56% of businesses in Singapore had faced audio deepfake fraud, while 52% had encountered video deepfakes.
