A recent report by Cyber Defense Group reveals significant gaps in organizations' confidence regarding incident response capabilities. While 94% of IT leaders express some confidence in containing cyber incidents within 24 hours, only 60% are very confident in this ability. The confidence further decreases for preserving critical evidence, with just 37% expressing high confidence. The report indicates that less than half of respondents are very confident in their ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders during incidents. Additionally, only 68% of organizations have documented their internal cybersecurity risk management approach, and just 44% have done so for external risks. These findings highlight weaknesses in incident response readiness and present opportunities for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) to assist organizations in improving their incident response strategies.
