The exploit allows arbitrary code execution on devices, targeting the BootROM, which cannot be patched via software updates. The vulnerability impacts devices like the iPhone XS and iPhone 11, and was published by Paradigm Shift last month. Magnet Forensics alleges that the exploit is similar to a proprietary capability known as 'MSG' that the former employee, Mario Del Gaudio, worked on before joining Paradigm Shift. The lawsuit seeks to have the exploit's publication removed and demands financial compensation. As of now, Paradigm Shift has removed the blog post detailing the exploit following the lawsuit.
