The U.S. Army has awarded RMC an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) to enhance the cybersecurity of operational technology (OT) systems at Army installations. This initiative, known as the Industrial Control Enterprise Defense (ICED-603) Phase 2 Prototype, aims to implement a Zero Trust approach to secure facility-related control systems (FRCS) crucial for building automation and utilities. The four-month project will focus on reducing cyber risks while ensuring operational continuity and avoiding unnecessary infrastructure replacements. RMC will lead the project, supported by Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC), and will develop reusable remediation patterns for other Army installations. The contract marks RMC's first cybersecurity engagement with the Army, emphasizing the importance of securing critical systems against evolving threats. The approach includes secure network segmentation, security monitoring, and a data integration layer to enhance resilience.
