Virgin Media has been fined £23.8 million by Ofcom for disconnecting thousands of vulnerable customers during the transition from analogue to digital landlines. The regulator found that the company failed to protect users of telecare services, placing them at direct risk of harm. The investigation was prompted by incidents reported in November and December 2023.
