Explore
Browse and discover threat clusters visually with the Explore page. Filter by category, entity, and time range.
The Explore page at /explore is a visual browsing interface for the entire ThreatCluster database. It surfaces threat clusters you might not encounter in your personalized feed, making it the best way to get a broad view of the current threat landscape.
Explore vs. Threat Feed
| Threat Feed | Explore | |
|---|---|---|
| Scope | Personalized to your tracked keywords and interests | All clusters across the platform |
| Layout | Scrollable feed with hero cards | Grid-based visual layout |
| Purpose | Stay on top of what matters to you | Discover new and emerging threats |
| Sorting | Trending or hot, based on your preferences | Multiple sort options you control |
Use the Feed for daily monitoring. Use Explore when you want to broaden your awareness or research a category you don't normally track.
Browsing Clusters
Explore displays clusters as visual cards in a grid layout. Each card shows:
- Cluster title -- The AI-generated title summarizing the threat.
- Threat score -- A colored score bar indicating severity (0--100).
- Entity badges -- Quick-glance labels for key entities like threat actors, malware, and CVEs extracted from the cluster.
- Article count -- How many source articles are grouped into the cluster.
- Time indicator -- When the cluster was first seen and last updated.
Click any card to open the full cluster detail page with all articles, entities, and timeline.
Filtering
Use the filter bar at the top of the Explore page to narrow what you see:
Category
Filter by threat category to focus on a specific area: - Ransomware - Phishing / social engineering - Data breach - Vulnerability disclosure - APT / nation-state - Supply chain - And more
Time Range
Restrict clusters to a specific window: - Last 24 hours - Last 7 days - Last 30 days - Custom date range
Entity Type
Filter to only show clusters that contain a specific type of entity: - Threat actors - Malware families - CVEs - Targeted organizations - Targeted products
Sorting Options
Control the order clusters appear in:
- Trending -- Clusters gaining the most traction right now, weighted by recent article velocity.
- Threat Score -- Highest severity clusters first.
- Most Recent -- Newest clusters at the top.
- Article Count -- Clusters with the most source coverage first.
Discovering Emerging Threats
Explore is particularly useful for spotting threats early:
- Sort by Most Recent and scan for new clusters that just formed -- these are breaking stories being reported across multiple sources.
- Sort by Trending to see what the cybersecurity community is actively covering.
- Filter by category to do a quick review of a domain you don't normally track (e.g., check supply chain threats once a week).
