Notifications

Stay informed with in-app and email notifications for alerts, reports, and platform updates.

ThreatCluster notifications keep you informed when things happen that matter to you -- alert rule matches, completed reports, new features, and subscription changes. Notifications are delivered in-app and optionally via email.

Notification Types

Type Description
Alert rule matches A threat cluster matched one of your configured alert rules
Report completion A scheduled or on-demand report has finished generating
New features Platform updates and new capabilities
Subscription events Changes to your plan, billing, or account status

Notification Bell

The notification bell icon in the top navigation bar shows your unread notifications.

  • A badge with a count appears when you have unread notifications.
  • Click the bell to open the notification dropdown.
  • Each notification shows a brief summary, timestamp, and a link to the relevant page (e.g., the cluster that triggered an alert).
Tip: Click on an alert rule notification to go directly to the matching cluster detail page. This lets you start investigating immediately.

Managing Notifications

Marking as Read

  • Individual -- Click a notification in the dropdown to mark it as read and navigate to the linked page.
  • Mark all read -- Click Mark all as read at the top of the notification dropdown to clear the unread count.

Notification History

All past notifications are accessible from the notification dropdown. Scroll down to view older notifications, or click View all to see your full notification history.

Note: Notifications are retained for 90 days. After that, they are automatically removed.

Notification Preferences

Control which notification types you receive.

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications.
  2. For each notification type, toggle it on or off.

Disabling a notification type stops both the in-app bell notification and any associated email for that event.

Email Notifications

When notifications are enabled, certain events (like alert rule matches and report completion) also send an email to your registered email address. Each email includes a summary, a direct link to the relevant page, and an unsubscribe link.

You can manage your overall email preferences in Settings > Email Preferences.

Note: Email notifications are separate from the Daily Digest. The digest is a scheduled summary email, while notifications are triggered by specific events. You can configure them independently.
