Swiss Municipalities and Companies Strengthen Cyber Resilience Assessment

The BACS has developed a Cybersecurity and Resilience Methodology (CSRM) to help organizations assess and improve their cyber resilience. This assessment focuses on business-critical processes and their dependencies on IT and OT systems, contrasting with traditional IT security frameworks. Many organizations still rely on individual measures rather than a comprehensive approach to cyber resilience. The assessment allows for self-evaluation based on six resilience objectives and facilitates benchmarking across sectors. This initiative aims to provide an aggregated view of resilience levels for cantons, associations, and the federal government. The emphasis is on maintaining essential services even after cyberattacks and IT disruptions.
